A descendant of four generations of distinguished physicians, Dr. Esther Ting’s great-grandfather, Ding Gangren, was the assigned physician to the last emperor of Shanghai, and founded the ﬁrst Chinese medical college and teaching hospital.
Continuing her family legacy, Dr. Ting received a Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree from the Traditional Medical College of Shanghai, and specialized in infectious diseases at Zai Pou Hospital. Dr. Ting is a certiﬁed acupuncturist and herbalist. Over the course of her 40-year career, she has treated more than 140,000 parents in two continents. Her advice, coupled with her generous healing spirit, has abracted parents from all walks of life.
Dr. Ting is an active member of the Professional Association of Acupuncturists and the California Acupuncture Association.
