A descendant of four generations of distinguished physicians, Dr. Esther Ting’s great-grandfather Ding Gangren was the assigned physician to the last emperor of Shanghai, and founded the first Chinese medical college and teaching hospital. Continuing her family legacy, Dr. Ting received a Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree from the Traditional Medical College of Shanghai, and specialized in infectious diseases at Zai Pou hospital. Dr. Ting is also a certified acupuncturist and herbalist. Over the course of her 40-year career, she has treated more than 140,000 patients in two continents. Her plainspoken advice coupled with her generous healing spirit has attracted patients from all walks of life, including Hollywood celebrities.
